About Barry Lee Hands 

 

The beginning of Barry Lee Hands lifelong passion began when he was professionally apprenticed as an engraver at the age of seventeen. Over the next 25 years, he would become world renowned for his outstanding style, entailing the combination of time honored techniques and his own, innovative designs.

Today, his master level work is in great demand and considered,  by many, to be some of the finest in the industry.

In addition to custom engraving, Mr. Hands also offers quality Custom Firearms, whether for the savvy investor, avid collector or world class trophy and sport hunter.  Mr. Hands’ experience in working with a dynamic range of clients has allowed him to turn their visions into reality.     

Mr. Hands is a well known authority on the Art and History of engraving, authoring articles for such prestigious publications as The Double Gun Journal, Shooting Sportsman, Gunmaker and Engraver. He is also a professional  photographer, used by many Gunmakers. 

Mr. Hands holds professional status in the Firearms Engravers Guild of America, and is a member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild.
